Hemisfair Holiday Drive-Thru
Hemisfair and Centro San Antonio are partnering for a winter extravaganza that locals can enjoy from inside of their vehicles. With over 110,000 pounds of ice, Centro will create snow to fall on cars, Santa will be on-site for car selfies and the American Caroling Co. will provide tunes. There will also be a drum circle in the park, reindeer from Zoomagination and more.

Cowboy Christmas
Take a “12 Days of Christmas” scavenger hunt through the Briscoe Western Art Museum, complete a holiday craft and listen to carols while socially distanced in the outdoor McNutt Sculpture Garden. It’s Locals Day, which means admission is half-off for Bexar County residents. Ticketed reservations also are available for a “contactless Clause” experience featuring story time with Cowboy Clause. The citywide nighttime contemporary Arts Festival called Luminaria now has a new director, Yadhira Lozano. Her participation in the arts goes way back.
“My brother and I were in the Harlandale Mariachi in the ’80s. Art and culture has always been part of my life. That s been part of my career, and it s just something that I ve always loved to do,” she said.
Lozano graduated college in Los Angeles at the University of Southern California, then worked at a series of different arts organizations, capped by her time as Public Relations Director at LA’s Autry Museum of the American West.
