NYC Man Accused of Sexually Abusing 2 Relatives Is Extradited From Israel After a Decade

Kranczer left New York City and fled to Israel in November 2010 to allegedly escape prosecution. At Kranczer s arraignment, the defense said Kranzcer ran a Yeshiva for developmentally disabled boys when he was in Brooklyn. A senior NYPD official with knownledge of the decade-long investigation said a relative had driven Kranczer to the airport for a flight to Israel and confirmed he landed in 2010.  In late 2010, the NYPD contacted the Israel-based Intel Liaison Unit detectives to request the assistance of Israel National Police. Detectives were already having conversations with the victims family at this point, for crimes going back to 1996.  The senior NYPD official said there were crimes Kranczer allegedly committed until 2003. At that time, there was talk of him surrendering but that never about. The police department began trying to locate Kranczer in Israel but there were no results.

Orthodox patrol founder arrested for sexual misconduct – The Forward

(JTA) A founder of a Jewish patrol group in Brooklyn is facing federal sexual misconduct charges stemming from a 2017 case in which he was charged with the statutory rape of a 15-year-old girl. Jacob Daskal, 62, was arrested and charged Thursday with inciting a minor to engage in illicit sexual activity and transporting a minor for the purposes of engaging in sexual activity. The charges brought by the U.S. Attorney’s Office were related to the same victim, according to the New York Daily News, but also included activities that occurred in Chicago as well as upstate New York. They fall outside the jurisdiction of the Brooklyn District Attorney, which charged Daskal with rape and sexual abuse among other crimes in 2018.
