A Lancashire Police spokesman said Jamie Dixon, 18, of Clayton Avenue, Leyland, and two boys aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Preston Magistrates Court on Monday charged with his murder.
The three were remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday.
A 20-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both from Preston, and a 36-year-old woman from Leyland were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but have since been released under investigation.

Officers were called to an address in Chatham Place just before 5.45pm on Wednesday (December 23) where the victim - Sarmad Al-Saidi, 16, from Preston - was found with stab injuries to his chest and legs. He was initially treated at the scene but was later transferred to hospital. Jamie Dixon, 18, from Leyland appeared before Preston Magistrates Court and has been charged with murder. A 16-year-old from Preston and a 17-year-old arrested on December 24 also appeared before court and are being charged with murder.

Man charged with murder of baby in Blackpool
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a baby girl.
Police launched an enquiry after four-month old Willow Lee was found seriously injured at a house on Onslow Road in Blackpool on Thursday, December 3rd.
She was taken Blackpool Victoria Hospital and later transferred to Alder Hey Childrenâs Hospital but sadly died on Sunday, December 6th.
A Home Office post-mortem examination has been carried out but further expert analysis is need to establish a cause of death.
Willowâs father Jordan Lee, 28, of Onslow Road, was charged with attempted murder but following her death, and after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, has now been charged with her murder.

A company co-owned by the billionaire Issa brothers who are buying Asda was fined for appalling safety breaches, a BBC investigation has found.
One worker lost a finger in a bubble wrap machine in 2012, and another lost four fingers in 2015, weeks after the brothers resigned as directors.
Europlast (Blackburn) Ltd showed a total lack of care about the safety of its employees , according to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The brothers declined to comment.
In 2014, the Lancashire packaging firm Europlast (Blackburn) Ltd was fined £50,000 at Preston Crown Court for an incident two years previously, when a worker got a hand trapped between rollers while trying to clean a bubble wrap machine.
