EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The ribbon will be cut on a new primary care clinic on Monday.
The clinic is a partnership between Deaconess Clinic and Memorial Baptist Church.
The new clinic will be located along Connie Robinson Way.
14 News will be in attendance when the ribbon is cut at 1 p.m.

Sidney Leister felt content in most aspects of his life.

The final step of his transition to a transgender man, which he began more than a decade earlier, lay out of reach at least it seemed that way to the Hilliard resident.
In his 60s, he thought he was too old to have transmasculine bottom surgery. He’d already paid $5,000 for reconstructive surgery on his chest at the Cleveland Clinic in 2010. Traveling out of town for a more complicated surgery that would alter the genital region and require weeks of recovery in a strange city was daunting.

Not understanding the higher risks that come with pre-existing conditions, he thought that if anybody in his immediate family got COVID, they would die.

Vaccine doses remain limited to Phase 1B, Tier 1 recipients as the number of providers offering vaccinations in northeast Louisiana continues to climb.
This week, 406 vaccine providers across the state received very limited doses of COVID vaccine.
These providers – including 143 chain pharmacies, 118 independent pharmacies, 55 hospitals, 28 community health centers, seven rural health clinics and an additional 55 healthcare sites represent all nine public health regions and 64 parishes of the state.
LDH has published the list of participating providers on its website: www.covidvaccine.la.gov. Residents can also call 211 to find a vaccine provider near them.
