An annual report on the index for administrative procedure compliance costs in 2020 (APCI 2020) was released at a press conference on March 17 chaired by Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, who is also Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform.

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi has 33
self-nominated candidates in the upcoming
elections of deputies to the
15th National Assembly and the 16th municipal People’s Council, a conference heard on March 15.
At the conference,
the Hanoi election committee transferred to the municipal Committee of the
Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) the lists of 72 candidates to run for seats in
the 15th NA, and 188 candidates for the 16th municipal
People’s Council election, meeting the set schedule.
Thirty of the 72 candidates
in the National Assembly election are self-nominated, as are three of the 188
candidates seeking to become a member of the municipal People’s Council.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Cua Hoi Bridge connecting the north-central Vietnamese provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh on Sunday.
Construction began on the Cua Hoi Bridge spanning the Lam River and connecting Cua Lo Town in Nghe An with Nghi Xuan District in Ha Tinh on February 12, 2019, at a cost of VND950 billion (US$41.24 million), including VND450 billion ($19.54 million) worth of government bonds and VND500 billion ($21.71 million) from the two provinces budgets.

Vietnam s new president and prime minister are expected to take their oath of office on April 2 and 5 after being elected by the National Assembly.
Addressing the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on Monday, Nguyen Hanh Phuc, its general secretary, said the election would occur during the upcoming session of the 14th National Assembly scheduled to last 12 days from March 24.
