ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz on Monday said the government was firmly saddled and the national and provincial assemblies will complete their constitutional terms come rain or sunshine.
He was addressing a news conference with Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry and Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda here.
Shibli said Prime Minister Imran Khan was ready for dialogue with the serious-minded opposition leaders on public issues minus JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz.

ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday said the opposition’s movement was bound to fail and it would be unmasked at all forums.
He said this while chairing a meeting of the party leaders and spokespersons here, reports Geo News. The meeting was called to review key national matters and the opposition’s moves against the government.
Imran directed his party leaders to make public the opposition’s amendments put forth for the NAB legislation through which it wanted the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO). According to sources, Imran underlined that the opposition parties had repeatedly demanded the NRO based on 34 points but government rejected it.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday called on all parties to ensure the sanctity of Parliament and adherence to democratic values and said parliamentary system was important for legislation and continuity of democracy in the country.
Prime minister observed this during a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, who called on him here on Monday. The meeting discussed in detail the parliamentary system of the country.
The prime minister said that the Parliament was not only important for legislation but also for the continuity of democracy and was the largest constitutional forum in the country. “All parties must ensure the sanctity of parliament and adherence to democratic values,” he emphasised.
