Bengaluru, Feb 19 : The Karnataka cabinet on Thursday decided to present the annual budget for the year 2021-22 on March 8 and prior to that it will also convene two-day special session on One Nation One Election also, Karnataka Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Basavaraj Bommai said here.
After the cabinet meeting, Bommai told reporters that the Budget will be tabled on March 8 and the budget session will go on till March end.
He added that the session will commence on March 4 and there would be a debate on One Nation, One Election till March 5.

JAMMU: The Chief Secretary, B V R Subrahmanyam today chaired a meeting of UT level Standing Committee of J&K Rural Roads Development Agency (JKRRDA) to review progress made under the flagship programme, ‘Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana’ (PMGSY).
Administrative Secretary, Public Works (R&B), Chief Engineers (PMGSY), Jammu and Kashmir, Superintendent Engineers and Executive Engineers, among others, participated in the meeting.
While appreciating the progress made so far in the current financial year, the Chief Secretary observed that JKRRDA has registered an unprecedented achievement by completing 1,917 km of rural roads under 234 schemes with financial implication of Rs. 1200 crore, thereby providing safe and secure all-weather connectivity to 93 eligible habitations.

The State government is ready to procure the entire coir produced in the State, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said.
He was virtually inaugurating the Coir Kerala 2021, an expo on coir and natural fibre products, on Tuesday.
Mr. Vijayan said that the coir production in the State would soon touch four lakh quintals. “From 70,000 quintals, the production increased to two lakh quintals in last fiscal. The government will procure all locally produced coir regardless of whatever be the production,” the Chief Minister said.
He said that the government would protect traditional coir workers while implementing projects for modernisation and mechanisation of the sector.
