Bishnoi, A resident of Nadhori village in Fatehabad district, owns 10 acres of land. He and his three brothers and their families live together and jointly own 40 acres in the village.
He said, “Three days ago, I got a call from SDO (Agriculture). He told me that I have been shortlisted for having a conversation with the PM. I was also told that two of my brothers have received money under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.”
“I have been doing farming for the last 15 years. Earlier, I grew paddy, but now I have started growing fruits and vegetables. We sell our crop in local mandis and markets.”

Jaipur, Dec 26 (IANS): Rajasthan BJP state President Satish Poonia on Friday interacted with the farmers in an open field during a Kisaan Chaupal and said that for the first time Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accomplished the task of giving 1.5 times MSP to the farmers and made best arrangements for them for advanced farming, away from traditional farming techniques. The budget of agriculture in this country during the Congress regime in 2013-14 was Rs 21,000 crore. Today it has gone up to Rs 1.34 lakh crore. The increased budget aims to make the farmers of India prosperous through innovation, he said.

Govt is taking every step to ensure holistic development of farmers, asserts Agriculture Minister @nstomar Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said that the government is taking every step to ensure holistic development of farmers and enrichment of the agriculture sector in the country. He said, farmers in the country have started benefitting from the reforms brought by the Centre. Mr Tomar said, extending the benefits of the IT sector to the farmers, the government is utilizing modern tools of communication for dissemination of useful information. On creation of a data bank of farmers in the country, the Agriculture Minister said its resources will be utilized to inform farmers about soil health, send forewarning of floods and even maintenance of land records of agricultural fields.
