BROCKTON  One man is dead and another was seriously injured after they were struck by cars Tuesday in two separate crashes, officials said.  Police were called to 1101 Main St. about 2:30 p.m. after receiving several 911 calls about a person who was hit by a car. When they arrived, police found an injured man, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney s office.  The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. He has not yet been identified pending notification of family members.  At the scene, police taped off an alley area, which was next to a Walgreens. Some fencing was knocked down and was on the ground.
