A man has been charged with deliberately starting a fire at a property in Blenheim on Friday evening. The Blenheim man, in his 30s, who cannot be named, is charged with intentionally damaging a residential property on Rogers St by fire. Police had accompanied the Blenheim Volunteer Fire Brigade to the property about 5.10pm, due to concerns the fire could be suspicious. The fire was out on arrival. The man was arrested on Whitney St about 5.50pm. He has also been charged with wilfully trespassing on a Rogers St property on Friday, within two years of a trespass warning, and possessing a methamphetamine pipe on the same date.
However, her attempts failed and police were called. It followed an incident on February 21, when Wilson was at an address she had been staying at in New Brighton, Christchurch.

Wilson pleaded guilty to one charge of attempting to unlawfully take a vehicle and one charge of wilful damage in the Blenheim District Court on Monday. Wilson and her partner had been locked out of the house due to a disagreement with one of the occupants of the house, the summary said. At 9pm, Wilson began yelling at the person inside the house. She smashed the lock of the door and entered the house.
A short time later, police found Mason. The summary said she immediately became argumentative and aggressive. Despite several warnings she grabbed onto a police officer’s wrist and tried to push him away, the summary said. Mason was arrested and placed into the back of a patrol vehicle. The officer was standing next to Mason speaking to her through an open door and Mason kicked him several times in the thigh.
Ricky Wilson/Stuff She also spat at him, hitting him on the arm. While being driven to the police station the defendant repeated multiple times over a 25-minute period she was going to kill the officer, his wife and children.
