Man in the muddle: Vaze being taken to NIA court on March 14
Nearly a month after an explosives-laden SUV was found parked a short distance from Mukesh Ambani’s residence, Antilia, all investigative leads seem to be converging in Thane, a satellite city north of Mumbai.
The two vehicles, a white Innova, allegedly driven by assistant police inspector Sachin Vaze, and the light-green Scorpio, allegedly driven by one of his aides, started towards South Mumbai from Thane, 30 km away, on February 24. On the intervening night of February 24-25, the Scorpio was left parked 500 metres away from the Ambani residence on Carmichael Road, with 20 sticks of commercial blasting gelatin and a note threatening the family inside the vehicle.

Court extends Sachin Waze s NIA custody till April 7 ANI | Updated: Apr 03, 2021 17:40 IST
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 3 (ANI): The Special Court on Saturday extended the National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody of suspended Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waze till April 7 while also directing NIA to provide all medical aid to Waze.
Waze is an accused in Mansukh Hiren death case.
According to NIA, the agency has found several incriminating materials based on a disclosure statement given by Sachin Waze under CrPC 27.
Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh for the NIA informed the court that Waze had a joint account with another co-accused in DCB Bank, Versova Branch with a deposit of Rs 26.5 lakh till March 1 2021. Further, they have a joint locker in the same branch. NIA believes that the locker must had some incriminating materials as the articles were removed on March 18 after the arrest of Waze on March 13.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 3 (ANI): Another vehicle has been brought to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) office as a part of the ongoing probe into the Antilia bomb scare case.
According to NIA sources, a white Mercedes was brought to the NIA office on Friday as a part of the investigation.
Meanwhile, suspended Mumbai Police officerSachin Waze, whose NIA custody will end today, will be produced before the Special NIA court on Saturday.
The NIA last Sunday had taken Waze to the bridge over the Mithi river in connection with the probe of Mansukh Hiran s death case.

Tainted Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze was seen driving a colleague accused in the murder of Thane businessman Mansukh Hiren, who was linked to the Antilia bomb scare case.
Captured in CCTV footage from March 2, Vaze was seen driving an Audi car, passing through Bandra Worli Sea Link toll gates.
