Mumbai: After arresting Sachin Waze, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing if the Mumbai police officer was present near industrialist Mukesh Ambani s residence, Antilia, where an SUV was found abandoned on February 25.

ANI on Monday mentioned NIA sources as saying that the agency is investigating if the man, who was seen wearing a PPE suit in the CCTV footage near Antilia on the night when Scorpio was parked, is Sachin Waze or someone else. The NIA is reportedly verifying the Mumbai police officer’s alibi.

Mumbai: Claiming that he has been made a scapegoat by certain political powers , Sachin Vaze s brother has moved the Bombay High Court challenging his arrest in the Antilia bomb scare case. His brother has further stated that the National Investigations Agency (NIA) that suddenly registered an FIR in the present case, which was initially being probed by the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS), has not followed the due procedure of law while arresting Vaze.
Vaze s brother Sudharm has filed a writ of habeas corpus through his counsel Sunny Punamiya seeking directions to the NIA to immediately release Vaze.

Mumbai, Mar 15: The Shiv Sena on Monday said the arrest of Mumbai police officer Sachin Vaze by the National Investigative Agency over the recovery of explosives from a car near industrialist Mukesh Ambani s residence was an insult of the Maharashtra Police, and alleged that it was being done deliberately.
An editorial in the Sena mouthpiece Saamana said that the NIA investigation in the case was surprising when the investigative capabilities and bravery of the Maharashtra Police are being acknowledged around the world.
