CM Uddhav Thackeray responsible for the entire Sachin Waze episode, says Maha BJP chief ANI | Updated: Mar 14, 2021 22:10 IST
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 14 (ANI): Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Chandrakant Patil on Sunday held Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray responsible for the entire Sachin Waze episode.
Speaking to the reporters, Patil said, It is extremely shameful that a police officer who was till yesterday strongly defended by the chief minister of our state has today been arrested by the National Investigation Agency in a terror conspiracy case. Do you (Uddhav Thackeray) even realise that your public statements in favour of a tainted officer have perhaps done irreparable damage to the reputation of our state?
In the view of rapidly increasing COVID-19 cases in the state, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray directed the hotels and restaurants to adhere to COVID-19 protocols and not force the concerned authorities to enforce desperate measures like complete lockdown in the state.
Due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra, the state government on Thursday (March 11) decided to impose a lockdown in Nagpur district from March 15 to 21.
The NIA team, led by a senior officer, reached the Thane residence of Mansukh Hiren at Vikas Palms housing society at around 3 pm. The team left after speaking to Hiren's wife Vimla and his son for around two hours.
