FASTag programme uses radio-frequency identification technology, which provides users a smooth crossover at toll plazas without halting. The toll payment is made digitally through the FASTag linked to the bank wallet.

Mumbai, Jan 25: At toll plazas on the Bandra- Worli Sea Link in the metropolis and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, 100 per centFASTag system will be implemented from January 26, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) said on Monday.
FASTag programme uses radio-frequency identification technology, which provides users a smooth crossover at toll plazas without halting. The toll payment is made digitally through the FASTag linked to the bank wallet. In a press release, MSRDC said motorists will have to pay double the amount of toll if their vehicles, without FASTag or a blacklisted tag, enter in the lane dedicated for FASTag-enabled vehicles.

Navi Mumbai police arrested four persons, including a couple, for allegedly running a
Ponzi Scheme at
CBD-Belapur and duping hundreds of people for crores of rupees.
The accused have been identified as Abhijit Madhukar Patil (42) his wife Vanita Abhijit Patil (40) Mukund Ashok Puranik (39) and Yogesh Bilaye (48).
They all are the residents of Navi Mumbai, and Abhijit Patil is the alleged mastermind behind the scam.
Accused Bilaye would introduce himself as the manager of the firm, while the others claimed to be owners of the investment companies.
