PDP has come to stay in Abia-Party Chieftain, Nwachukwu Published A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Onwa Innocent Nwachukwu, has said the recent victory of the party in the just-concluded Aba North and Aba South federal constituency election was a clear manifestation of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s developmental strides in Aba and the state at large. Daily Post Nigeria Published The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced a date for the resumption of nationwide Continuous Voter Registration INEC’s Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, on Thursday during a briefing in Abuja said the registration will commence on June 28 across Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas ahead of the 2023 general elections. Yakubu disclosed that the registration exercise would be carried out continuously for over a year until the third quarter of 2022. He said: “The CVR could not recommence in 2020, due largely to the COVID-19 pandemic. In line with the general advice by health officials regarding events involving large groups of people, we considered it inauspicious to restart the CVR at the height of the pandemic. In the light of the pandemic, the commission promised the nation that it would recommend the CVR in the first quarter of 2021.
