Deputies investigating after man s body found off Hwy 6 in Hallsburg

The McLennan County Sheriff s Office is investigating after a man s body was found on the side of Highway 6 near Hallsburg Monday morning.
The man has been identified by deputies but details have not yet been released.
According to McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara, the man s body was found early Monday morning.
Deputies are currently on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
No other information is available at this time.

MASON, Texas A man is in custody after suspected arson at the historic Mason County Courthouse on Thursday night, the Mason County Judge s Office said.
As of Monday morning, Nicholas Miller is now charged with arson, evading arrest and unlawful possession of a firearm. On Friday, he was charged and arrested after a police pursuit and was being held in McLennan County, McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara said. The police chase started in Williamson County and ended near Robinson after the suspect was stopped using a spike strip.

CHINA SPRING, TX â The McLennan County Sheriff s Office is sending a warning if your loved one has recently passed away. They ve found criminals in Central Texas are scouring obituaries to target the homes of grieving families and break in.
Most recently, the McNamara family s China Spring home was broken in to while they were away mourning the loss of their loved one , leaving the widow grieving so much loss. She s nervous, as rightfully she should be. She s 82-years-old and wants to feel secure in her own home. It was complete shock. We had no idea that people would even consider doing something like that, said John McNamara, son of the deceased.
