The Artura is what McLaren calls a High-Performance Hybrid (HPH) and will be just one of many iterations to come based on new all-new architecture and a gas-electric powertrain. McLaren has previously produced limited-run hybrids in the form of the P1 and the Speedtail. Both of these were priced north of the two million-dollar mark but the Artura will be rather more accessible, and is expected to sell for around $200,000. Despite downsizing in cylinders the Artura’s new V-6 engine should outgun the outgoing 570S which produces 560 hp. The additional electric motor will allow a limited EV range of around 20 miles, and is mainly there to boost performance and meet emissions regulations, of course.
