MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, seasonal flu activity is lower than usual this year.
For the week ending Jan. 23, only one state reported a âmoderateâ level of cases. South Carolina reported a âminimalâ level. Thatâs compared to the week ending Jan. 25 during this same time period in 2020. At that time, South Carolina reported a âvery highâ level of influenza cases.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Many across the Grand Strand and the Pee Dee want to know when itâs their turn to receive a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
This comes after the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control confirmed a limited supply of Pfizerâs vaccine will be distributed to 56 sites throughout the state by the end of the week.
