In January, the News reported on efforts to alleviate previous delays in drug orders and other difficulties at Benzer Pharmacy, formerly Town Drug. A regional manager for the national pharmacy chain pointed to issues with the company’s wholesaler related to new acquisitions of pharmacy locations in Ohio. The local pharmacy has since regained its footing, and in November, the downtown store a pharmacy location for about 90 years changed its name to Yellow Springs Pharmacy.
Clem & Thyme Nutrition and Wellness expanded its East Enon Road practice, the News reported in February. Founded by Leslie Edmunds, the practice offers nutrition therapy, dietary consulting, cooking classes and more.

The Yellow Springs Development Corporation, or YSDC, is a quasi-governmental, nonprofit corporation that has been designated by the Village of Yellow Springs and Miami Township as their official Community Improvement Corporation, or CIC. The group also has representation from Yellow Springs Schools, Antioch College and the Yellow Springs Community Foundation. Its first meeting was Feb. 4.
The group worked primarily on two activities: exploring the possibility of siting “an educational commons” on the Antioch College campus, and selling the former Miami Township fire station on Corry Street, which was set to be vacated after trustees and the fire department moved in November to their new facility across town. The group also helped distribute local coronavirus relief to businesses.

YELLOW SPRINGS Yellow Springs comedian Dave Chappelle is poised to purchase the former Miami Township Fire Station. Chappelle’s company, Iron Table Holdings, LLC reached an agreement on Monday that would pave the way for Chappelle to renovate the building into a comedy club.
The Yellow Springs Development Corporation (YSDC), a non-profit organization, finalized an agreement with Iron Table Holdings to sell the old fire station after a “several-month process,” according to a release. Dave Chappelle held intimate, socially distanced comedy shows throughout the summer in his hometown of Yellow Springs, OH. Now it looks like he plans to keep the laughs coming in Yellow Springs after the pandemic is over.
Dayton Business Journal reports that Chappelle s company, Iron Table Holdings LLC, has purchased property to open a new comedy club in town.
