Heiress to Antigay Publix Grocery Chain Funded Pre-Insurrection Rally

Publix Super Markets, the Southern grocery chain which has often been accused of anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination, is being threatened with boycotts after it was revealed that the heiress to the company was the biggest funder of the January 6 Donald Trump rally that led to the invasion of the U.S. Capitol.
Julie Jenkins Fancelli, daughter of Publix founder George Jenkins, contributed $300,000 to the rally, which had a total cost of about $500,000,

The honor is DB’s 11th in as many years and it’s thanks to its progressive policies for LGBTQ employees.

The CEI is a national benchmarking tool that evaluates companies on their corporate policies and practices relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) employees.
