Organizers like the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights usually hold the annual event in MacArthur Park but moved the starting point of the march to Chinatown in a nod to the surge in anti-Asian violence over the last year.

If it was not clear before, it is clear now that the problems that existed before the pandemic have been exacerbated because of it. The country needs immigration reform, needs to protect workers, and take a giant leap forward towards racial justice.
