(ABC 6 News) - Mower County Public Health Division Manager Pam Kellogg says the county is a week or two away from completing vaccination of Group 1a, which consists of healthcare workers and long-term care residents.
The increase in available vaccine doses has helped the county make headway against the virus. Kellogg is optimistic about the future as well, with Mayo Clinic Health Systems receiving Johnson & Johnson doses this week. It seemed like we were waiting forever even though it s only been 8 weeks since we first started, but to finally start working on the schools and then we ve gotten through them really fast because the amount of vaccine has really started to increase a lot. It feels great, Kellogg said.
