Mayo Clinic Health System Red Wing is making the grade in patient safety.
The hospital was one of six Mayo Clinic sites that scored high marks for safety, earning an A from The Leapfrog Group, an independent, national nonprofit organization run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. This recognition is a strong nod to our staff and multidisciplinary teams, who work tirelessly to ensure the safety of patients throughout their medical journeys, Dr. Andrew Limper said in a news release Thursday, April 29, 2-21. He is Mayo Clinic s interim chief value officer. Our COVID-19 precautions are especially important as we protect patients and staff during the pandemic.

AUSTIN, Minn. – Mayo Clinic Health System – Austin Foundation is giving two acres of land to the city’s port authority.
The land within the Creekside Business Park will help plan for future growth in the area.
“We are excited about the growth the City of Austin is experiencing, including the construction of the Nu-Tek BioSciences manufacturing complex in the Creekside Business Park,” says Jerry McCarthy, Austin Port Authority president. “With Mayo’s donation of the neighboring two-acre parcel, we can plan for future expansion by Nu-Tek or accommodate other businesses who choose to locate in Austin. We appreciate Mayo Clinic Health System’s contribution to the health and economic vitality of our city.”

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Mathy Club on the Viterbo University campus.
The free clinics, which started earlier this month at the Erickson Club location, are run through a partnership with Mayo Clinic Health System.
The clinic starts at 2 p.m. Thursday and May 6th.
The clinic will be open to walk-ins.
“Our supply is greater now than it has been over the past couple of months and rather than not give doses. We’d rather give those doses on a walk-in basis,” said Mayo Clinic Health System nurse administrator Ben Anderson.
