Target on Friday closed many of its Minnesota stores, including two in Rochester, after rioting, looting and arson at stores in the Twin Cities Thursday night.
As of Friday night, more than 200 Twin Cities businesses had been damaged, looted or set on fire. The wreckage ran from broken windows to complete destruction. An Arby s was burned to the ground. Officials have yet to place a cost on the property damage caused by the riots, but it will no doubt be in the millions of dollars.
Some larger companies have shut their doors, hoping to weather the storm. CVS and Cub Foods stores have been closed, including the Cub Foods in Rochester, which was barricaded with plywood and softener salt on Friday night.
Alcohol may have been factor in head-on crash
A 40-year-old man suffered non-life threatening injuries after police said he crashed head-on with another vehicle Friday night in Rochester.

Police say alcohol may have been a factor in a head-on crash Friday night that injured one person.
Rochester police were called just after 8 p.m. Friday to the area of Broadway Avenue North and 40
th Street Northeast for a report of a two vehicle crash.
A 17-year-old man from Rochester was northbound in a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze on North Broadway Avenue when he was hit head on by a 2003 Ford Expedition being driven by a 40-year-old man from Rochester. The 40-year-old man was southbound in the northbound lanes of traffic when the crash occurred, according to Rochester police Capt. Casey Moilanen.

DOVER A crash between Dover and Eyota left a Rochester man injured Thursday night.
Scott Adam Jenkins, 56, of Rochester, was driving a 2018 Hyundai Sonata west on U.S. Highway 14 about halfway between Dover and Eyota about 7:30 p.m. Thursday when the vehicle left the roadway near the intersection at 140th Avenue Southeast, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. Alcohol was listed by the patrol as a factor in the crash.
Jenkins was taken by Eyota Ambulance Service to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries. No update on his condition was available.

AUSTIN One person is dead following a stabbing in Austin on Tuesday morning, and the 27-year-old man alleged to have caused the death was ordered held on $500,000 conditional bail.
Jaime Arquimides Vaca is charged with second-degree murder-not premeditated, second-degree murder-while committing a felony-without intent, attempted second-degree murder-not premeditated-with intent and first-degree assault-great bodily harm.

Law enforcement from the Olmsted County Sheriff s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol remain on scene after a person died during a medical emergency Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, along the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 63 north of Stewartville. While emergency personnel were responding to the medical emergency a secondary crash happened, and three people were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Sgt.
