Arizona Supreme Court Justice Andrew Gould announces retirement Lauren Castle, Arizona Republic © Matt York/Associated Press Newly-appointed Arizona Supreme Court justice Andrew Gould is sworn in by assistant Arizona Secretary of State Lee Miller on Dec. 19, 2016, at the Capitol in Phoenix. Arizona Supreme Court Justice Andrew Gould will be stepping down from the bench after serving since 2017, according to a notice he provided to the governor.  Gould will retire on April 1. He was appointed by Gov. Doug Ducey in 2016 after the court expanded from five to seven justices.  Ducey said in a statement Friday that Gould has remained committed to the law, working to ensure justice for victims and upholding the Constitution.

Chandler police issued the report eight days after they released unredacted body-camera footage showing Officer Chase Bebak-Miller attempting to stop Cano, who was riding a bicycle, before pursuing him in a foot chase into Gazelle Meadows Park and shooting Cano in the back twice when the teen reached for a handgun that fell out of his pocket.

A Black Arizona couple is not only breathing easier, but happy to be breathing after a white man reportedly tried to pull a gun on them during a business meeting. Solomon Odubhao and Brittney Myers told KNXV-TV ABC15 they were meeting with Tom Toot, the life partner of the owner of Chef’s Shared Kitchen in Mesa, when the incident occurred. It was captured on video by the company’s surveillance cameras.
