Trial for Pella Woman Facing First Degree Murder Charge Begins This Week

The trial of a Pella woman accused of first degree murder in May of 2020 begins this week in Marion County District Court. The formal process is scheduled to begin today with jury selection. Michelle Boat, 56, has pleaded not guilty to first degree murder, a class A felony. Boat is charged for the death of Tracy Mondabough of Ottumwa, also known as Tracy Throgmartin. The Pella Police Department, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and Marion County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
