Mother, 18-day-old baby die after crash on east side

May 4, 2021 / 09:11 PM EST INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) A woman and her baby were killed after a crash on Sunday, the Marion County Coroner’s Office said Tuesday. Diasia Hogan, 23, and her 18-day-old baby, Colette Hogan, died after a Sunday morning crash at the intersection of North Franklin Road and Roy Road. IMPD say two cars were in the crash about 10:15 a.m. Sunday. Initially, police said, only the woman died; the baby ejected from a vehicle was expected to survive. Police also said a 12-year-old also in the vehicle with the Hogans was taken to an area hospital and was expected to survive.

The cause of death was “intentionally withheld.” INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) The Thursday death of a woman on the northeast side has been declared a homicide, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police said Monday. Officers were dispatched to 8841 Fluvia Terrace near 86th Street and Allisonville Road around 3:30 p.m. Thursday to check on a person’s welfare and found Jordan Henry, a 22-year-old woman, dead with undefined trauma. Police say homicide detectives arrived at the scene and were assisted by the Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency in their investigation. The cause of death is unknown at this time and will be determined by the Marion County Coroner’s Office.

Update: The Marion County Coroner s Office on May 12 identified the woman as 22-year-old Jordan Henry. Indianapolis police launched a homicide investigation after a woman was found dead inside an apartment near Castleton last Thursday.  Police responded just before 3:30 p.m. to Riverbend Apartments in the 8000 block of Fluvia Terrace for a welfare check.  When officers made their way inside, they found the woman dead with undefined trauma.  Homicide detectives responded to the scene to investigate.  The Marion County Coroner s Office identified the woman as 22-year-old Jordan Henry. IMPD investigating homicide on Indy s near northwest side

Updated: 6:33 PM EDT May 1, 2021 INDIANAPOLIS Indianapolis homicide detectives have launched an investigation into a man s death on Friday.  The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said just after 3 p.m. on Friday officers went to the 5500 block of West 43rd Street where they found a man with injuries consistent with trauma. The man was pronounced dead after emergency medical services arrived. IMPD homicide detectives have begun an investigation into his death.  Authorities have not yet released the man s name or his cause of death. Woman Dies After Being Shot and Crashing Car on Northeast Side of Downtown Indy INDIANAPOLIS A woman died in Indianapolis after she crashed her car Saturday, but it might not have been the crash that killed her. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says the woman was found shot when they responded to the crash on Baltimore Avenue, near 30th Street and Keystone Avenue. She was taken to a hospital, and later died. The name of the woman will be released by the Marion County Coroner’s Office. This is the third homicide this week on Baltimore Avenue. About ten blocks north, two men died Monday afternoon after they were also shot while inside a vehicle. They’ve been identified as 34-year-old Clarence January and 35-year-old Savage Trent Jones.
