State legislatures pursuing pro-life agenda Thursday, May 27, 2021  |  Charlie Butts (OneNewsNow.com) Spanish Pro-life activists know state legislatures are the source for passing life-affirming legislation and there s a good reason why: Congress is a no-show in the effort to save unborn babies. Earlier this year, South Dakota led all other states in passing the legislation - five bills in total - that have been signed into law by Gov. Kristi Noem. Pennsylvania is now working on three bills to protect preborn children. Maria Gallagher with Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation says the first bill introduced is the Down Syndrome Protection Act, which would ban abortions if there is a prenatal diagnosis.
