When Ron Cooper makes his rounds, he knows every delivery might save a life.
Cooper is part of a team of Prairie Harm Reduction (PHR) employees distributing and teaching people how to use naloxone, a medication that can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Cooper hands out 30 or so of the black kits every time he hits the streets.

“The best thing for me is when I give a kit to somebody and they come back in a day or two and say, ‘You know what, I saved somebody’s life,” Cooper said.
