BTS unfortunately didn t take home the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2021 Grammy Awards, but that didn t make their nomination any less incredible.
On Sunday (March 14), Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga took home the award for their single Rain On Me off Gaga s album,
Chromatica.
The competition was fierce as other nominees included Un Dia by J. Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny and Tainy; Intentions by Justin Bieber and Quavo; and Exile by Taylor Swift and Bon Iver.
Although BTS lost the award, this marked the group s first Grammy nomination as a musical act, as well as the first major nomination for a Korean music group. Their 2018 album,
Beyoncé made Grammy history by becoming the most awarded solo act.
On Sunday (March 14), the Black Parade singer broke the record for most Grammy wins from a solo artist. Up until Sunday, country singer Alison Krauss held the title with 27 career wins.
During this year s show, Bey won the Best Music Video award for Brown Skin Girl, along with Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for Savage (Remix) with Megan Thee Stallion. It was when she won the Best R&B Performance award for Black Parade that she broke the record.

Jesus Is King. The win was announced during the Grammy Premiere Ceremony, which was live-streamed online prior to the televised event.
Although the Grammys gave winners the option to accept their awards virtually, West was not virtually present and did not accept the award on camera. The win marked West s 22nd Grammy award win and 70th nomination total.
