The firm joins the ranks of over 767 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.
The results of this year’s CEI showcase how 1,142 U.S.-based companies are not only promoting LGBTQ-friendly workplace policies in the U.S., but helping advance the cause of LGBTQ inclusion in workplaces abroad. The CEI rates companies and top law firms on detailed criteria falling under four broad categories: non-discrimination policies, employment benefits, demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBTQ diversity and inclusion, and public commitment to LGBTQ equality and
NORRISTOWN â The pandemic has ensured that the Montgomery County Health and Human Services approach to Black History Month would be decidedly different for 2021.
Instead of the customary day of speakers and honorees, the agency is presenting weekly virtual forums on the theme âThe Black Family,â through moderated interactive discussions with notable county authorities.
âThe Montgomery County Commissioners and our director of Health and Human Services thought that we shouldnât allow a year to go by without having anything for Black History Month, so the committee came up with a way that we could do it virtually,â noted administrative assistant Lora Gonzalez.
The five-month investigation was done by the law firm Ballard Spahr and security consulting firm AT-RISK International at the request of the controller. It cost taxpayers $150,000.
This is the second such after-action report from the summer unrest that points out just how unprepared police were to deal with the protests and violence that immediately followed it. The first report, released in late December, was ordered by the mayor and done by law firm Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads and consulting firm CNA.
Some of the main findings of the controller’s report include:
• The city disregarded blueprints for handling and coordinating large-scale protests, including previous ones against police-involved shootings.
