WOOD RIVER Six COVID-19 related deaths were reported Saturday by the Madison County Department of Health after no deaths recorded on Christmas. On Saturday, the department identified the deceased as a woman in her 60s, a woman in her 70s, a woman in her 80s, a man his 80s, a woman in her 90s and a man in his 90s. As of Saturday, 356 COVID-19 related deaths had been reported in the county. The total number of cases was 19,812 with 58 new confirmed and probable cases on Saturday and 169 new confirmed and probable cases on Christmas Day.

Madison County reduces staff to essential in-person services only, offices to close to public

Wampsville, N.Y. — Due to the increase of COVID-19 cases throughout the region, Madison County has decided to reduce staff to essential in-person operations only until Jan. 18, 2021. The only operations that will be functional in-person are essential services approved by the Board of Supervisors.
