JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The Mississippi Court of Appeals has overturned the indictment of a City of Canton employee who was convicted of voter fraud back in September of 2019.
Rainey was Canton’s Director of Human and Cultural Needs and also sat on the School Board.
In early 2018, the Madison County District Attorney’s Office began an investigation into potential voter fraud in the May 2 and May 16, 2017, Canton municipal primaries and the June 2017 general election.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Huntsville Police announced on Friday that an incident review board determined a deadly November police shooting was âwithin departmental policy.â
Huntsville Police shot and killed 41-year-old Bradley Pugh in the Five Points neighborhood after an hours long standoff on November 16th, 2020.
A news release says Huntsville Police recently convened a two-day incident review board which came to the decision. The board was made up of Huntsville Police Captains, Huntsville City Lawyers, representatives from the District Attorneyâs office, and members of the Huntsville Police Citizens Advisory Board.

Huntsville police released a statement on Friday saying their incident review board concluded the officers involved in a deadly shooting in November acted according to policy.
This comes after the Madison County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday that the police department’s use of deadly force against the suspect was justified.
Bradley Pugh was shot and killed Nov. 16. (Read more HERE and HERE) He was found waving a gun while standing on the roof of Ted’s Bar-B-Q in Five Points about 10 p.m. Nov. 16.
