The funds are coming from the federal government.
The school is among 11 community colleges nationwide to receive a grant and one of five schools to receive the maximum amount.
West Michigan Works and the Michigan Community College Association will help to determine what kind of workers are currently needed.

Earlier this month, Cornerstone University announced that they are adding a men s wrestling program next year as their 20th varsity sport! West Michigan features some of the best high school programs in the state of Michigan, which seems like a natural fit for creating a local collegiate program, and the funding is there from private donations. Also, I talked to Aaron about the local small college sports scene in West Michigan, which makes our sports landscape so unique when you talk about the teams to follow from GVSU, Ferris State, Davenport, Hope, Calvin, Aquinas, Grand Rapids Community College and more.as Aaron has worked in both the Cornerstone & Davenport University Sports Information Departments

The death of Samuel was one of many instances in which the former professor left the autistic child unsupervised before he went to work.
On the day of his death, Timothy said he left Samuel on their backyard deck and woke up the child s mother Michelle Koets to let her know before leaving for work.
Michelle, however, fell back asleep from exhaustion as she worked the night shift as a registered nurse the day before her son s death.
It was Samuel s 13-year-old sister who found him in the pool chest-deep and sent a text to her father letting him know. She then called for help in the house, but Michelle did not hear.
