Ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections which are scheduled to be held next year, poll strategist Prashant Kishor has reportedly tied up with the Congress in Punjab.
On Monday, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh took to Twitter to announce that Kishor will act as his principal advisor.
Mamata Banerjee's meeting with Tejashwi Yadav today over a possible tie-up for the West Bengal election signalled realignment in which the Congress's ally in Bihar is set to be its rival. Tejashwi Yadav called on the Bengal Chief Minister at her office at "Nabanna" in Kolkata and the two leaders reportedly discussed seat-sharing.
While 294 Assembly seats are slated to go to polls in West Bengal, 234 seats are up for grabs in Tamil Nadu, 140 seats in Kerala, 126 seats in Assam and 30 seats in Puducherry.
