At Tuesday’s regular meeting, the Marshall County Board of Supervisors asked him to put together a sharing agreement detailing his work for Jasper County and how long it might last. Marshall County Engineer Paul Geilenfeldt was asked to put together a sharing agreement to bring back to the next Marshall County Board of Supervisors meeting. Seeking more details and clarification on the time he has spent helping Jasper County this year, Geilenfeldt asked to be on the agenda at the regular Tuesday meeting. Geilenfeldt said he was asking the Jasper County human resources director if they had received any applications for the county engineer position. They have 21 people interested in the job, but Geilenfeldt said most of them are not qualified.

More trees donated in Marshalltown | News, Sports, Jobs

A total of 195 trees will be donated in Marshalltown this week. Riverview Park and the Marshalltown Little League Park received 65 trees from the Marshalltown High School Bobcat Alumni Fund on Wednesday. The remaining 130 trees will be donated to JBS employees this Friday and available for pick-up on Saturday. JBS Marshalltown, in partnership with MHS Bobcat Alumni Fund, are providing 130 trees to JBS employees who lost trees on their private property during the 2018 tornado and 2020 derecho. Bi-lingual planting instructions will be provided with each tree. JBS Plant Manager Todd Carl will receive a “Foliage Hall of Fame” plaque in recognition of the company’s platinum level donation.

Marshall County sentences man found with four pounds of Methamphetamine

Marshall County sentences man found with four pounds of Methamphetamine By: Benjamin Pilarski Miller’s sister-in-law, who was driving the vehicle, was stopped for speeding. The vehicle was then towed because Miller’s sisters-in-law license was suspended and Miller did not have a license. The arresting officer then was granted consent to search and Miller informed the officer he had four pounds of Methamphetamine underneath the floor board between his feet. Miller was convicted of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Methamphetamine and being a Habitual Offender. Miller was given an aggravated sentence of thirty years at the Indiana Department of Correction on Count I a Level 2 Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine and sixteen years on Count II a Level 3 for Possession of Methamphetamine.
