Quezon City Police District Chief PBGen. Danilo Macerin said checkpoints across the city were placed only as part of the implementation of the Inter-Agency Task Force for Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) protocols to curb COVID-19 spread during the holiday season.
There is no truth to the rumors that Quezon City will revert to MECQ just because there are checkpoints set up all over the city),” Macerin said.
