Woman Who Returned Lady Gaga s Dogs Is Among 5 Arrested in Violent Robbery

Five suspects were charged in connection with the theft of Lady Gaga s dogs and the shooting of her dog walker, including the woman who returned the stolen French bulldogs days after the robbery. According to an Al Jazeera report, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) does not believe that the thieves knew the dogs belonged to Lady Gaga. In a statement, police said the seen motive for the robbery that happened on Feb. 24 was the value of French bulldogs, which can reach as high as thousands of dollars. Ryan Fischer, the dog walker, is recovering from a gunshot wound. He called the incident a very close call to death. Fischer had part of his lung removed due to the incident.

Arraignment Set for Former Priest Charged With Lewd Acts on Four Boys

By City News Service Apr 29, 2021 LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Arraignment is set today for a former Catholic priest who is charged with lewd acts on four boys at two parishes in Palmdale and Redondo Beach between the mid-1990s and 2001. Christopher John Cunningham, 58, was charged April 2 with a dozen felony counts of lewd acts on a child under the age of 14, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney s Office. Cunningham was an associate pastor at Saint Mary s Catholic Church in Palmdale and worked at Saint Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church in Redondo Beach at the time of the alleged crimes.

A convicted child rapist who killed two six-year-old boys in Southern California in the 1980s was sentenced on Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Kenneth Rasmuson, 59, showed no emotion as he was sentenced in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Pomona over the abduction and killing of Jeffrey Vargo and Miguel Antero in the 1980s. He had pleaded no-contest in February. Rasmuson murdered 6-year-old Jeffrey Vargo, who disappeared on July 2, 1981, after he left his house in Anaheim Hills in Orange County to look at a fireworks stand. Rasmuson (pictured in court in February) has previously spent 17 years in prison for the separate abuse of an 11-year-old boy in Santa Barbara County and a three-year-old boy in Los Angeles
