(ABC 6 News) - There are confirmed reports of a tornado and damage across Floyd County.
Diane Wells has lived in her home near Floyd for nearly thirty years but Wednesday night changed it in just minutes. Right now, I m still kind of shaky from the trauma, Wells said.
The storm that moved through through the area Wednesday evening dented her shed, knocked down trees and shattered her windows. If we were in the living room or the bedroom there, we could ve got hit by glass, Wells said.
Wells took cover in the basement. She doesn t know how she ll clean this all up but said it could ve been worse.

(ABC 6 News) - The Rochester Police Department s Safe City Nights made its return Tuesday.
The department said it s a series of events aimed to engage the community and law enforcement. Chief Jim Franklin championed the event beginning in 2019. The pandemic canceled it last year RPD s Safe City Nights return |
The events included demonstrations by the K-9 team, hands-on experiences with the emergency response unit, and a tour of the crime scene vehicle. The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office, Rochester Fire Department, and Minnesota State Patrol are also taking part.
Three events will continue in different quadrants of the city until late August from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.:

(ABC 6 News) - Some local elementary school students went back to class in person on Tuesday for the first time in weeks, but for many students are still learning from home.
For a second week in a row, some families in Rochester are protesting and demanding that the school board get their children back in the classroom full-time, they are demanding a return to in-person learning full-time.
