The Michigan House of Representatives on Monday approved a $465 million COVID-19 relief package that includes payments to businesses and workers struggling to stay afloat because of the coronavirus and government restrictions to curb its spread.

Passed by the Michigan Senate on Friday, Senate Bill 748 provides $465 million in state and federal funding for Michigan health care workers combating the virus, increases testing capacity, makes the investments necessary to ensure vaccine distribution, and extends unemployment benefits through April 1, 2021.
