Yangon, Dec 27 : Myanmar s Ministry of Health and Sports has announced the lifting of stay-at-home order in some townships across regions and states as they have witnessed lesser daily Covid-19 cases.
According to the order issued by the Ministry, the stay-at-home order will be lifted in all townships excluding three in the Yangon region on Sunday, reports Xinhua news agency.
Also, the lifting of stay-at-home order will be applied to some townships in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady regions, and Mon and Kachin states, respectively.

YANGON Myanmar’s Ministry of Health and Sports is weighing a plan to allow certain COVID-19 patients in Yangon to isolate at home, instead of requiring them to stay at hospitals or health centers.
The idea was raised at a meeting between Union Health Minister Dr. Myint Htwe and medical superintendents of COVID-19 centers in Yangon Region on Tuesday.
Under the proposal, the ministry would implement home isolation for asymptomatic patients without underlying health conditions. Depending on the severity of their case, age, underlying health conditions, number of family members, and space available for isolation in their houses, patients would be treated at home after their health conditions are assessed at hospitals or COVID-19 centers, according to Dr. Khin Khin Gyi, th

YANGON Myanmar’s Ministry of Health and Sports has ordered Yangon to shut down small shops and businesses which are not following COVID-19 rules.
In better news, Myanmar’s watermelons are set to be exported to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and avocado farmers say they have increased cultivation and are looking to sell to the European Union.
Elsewhere, rice exporters are planning to seek government help after a Chinese trader disappeared with more than 2.6 billion kyats (nearly US$2 million) worth of their rice.
The World Bank’s latest survey on Myanmar also said the economic impact of the second wave of COVID-19 has been more severe on businesses than the first, with more firms not expecting to recover.

Yangon – Myanmar’s Ministry of Health and Sports has instructed the Yangon authorities to enforce coronavirus preventive measures to restrict COVID-19 cases in the city.
On Thursday morning, Myanmar reported 103,166 COVID-19 cases, including 2,174 fatalities and 81,715 recoveries.
Yangon reported 73,030 coronavirus cases on Wednesday.
In a Monday meeting, Dr. Myint Htwe, Myanmar’s health minister, asked the Yangon government to enforce COVID-19 orders.
He also said Yangon’s medical staff are exhausted and coronavirus will continue to spread while people ignore the rules.
