Search-and-rescue teams are enduring grueling work at the site where debris has fallen off what s left of the building, said the officials.
As of Tuesday, there were still 11 confirmed deaths in last week s collapse with more than 150 people unaccounted for.

Florida [US], June 30 (ANI): The number of confirmed deaths due to the collapse of an oceanfront condo building in Surfside, Florida has now increased to 12, informed Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava announced Tuesday (local time). Since our last briefing, very unfortunately, one additional victim was recovered, Cava said during a press conference, The Hill reported.
Meanwhile, the number of people still unaccounted for has officially been updated to 149. These numbers are very fluid and they continue to change, Cava told reporters during the briefing.
The Miami-Dade County Mayor further informed that an official audit is being performed to review the list of people who remain unaccounted for to ensure the removal of possible duplicates.
Rescuers rotate in 12-hour shifts; none severely injured
Hundreds of Miami-Dade County fire rescue workers rotated in 12-hour shifts at the collapse site, searching for any signs of survivors. No rescue workers have been severely injured, but one worker took a 25-foot tumble, officials said. Every time there is an action, there is a reaction, said Raide Jadallah, assistant chief of rescue operations for the Miami-Dade County Fire Rescue Team, describing what he called a complex search-and-rescue operation.
Family members saw the danger firsthand Sunday when authorities allowed them to tour the site. They witnessed a rescuer tumble 25 feet down the mound, he said.

An 88-year old survivor of the condo collapse in Surfside, Florida, credits her neighbors for helping her escape as the building fell to the ground.
Esther Gorfinkel told CNN affiliate WPLG that she had been living in Champlain Towers for over 40 years when her fifth floor apartment began to shake in the early hours of June 24.
“Who would think that something like this would happen at 1:30 in the morning? In your life? In my old age that I would see something so horrible like this?” Gorfinkel said.

While rescuers continue to search for survivors amid the rubble from the building collapse in Surfside, Fla., law enforcement detectives and crime scene personnel are working to identify the human remains recovered from the wreckage.
Identifying the victims is a complicated process. At a press conference Monday, Miami-Dade Police Department Director Alfredo Ramirez III said the procedure depends on multiple variables, including the condition of the remains recovered.
Ramirez said crime scene investigators and staff from the medical examiner s office are on the scene, along with firefighters, if a body is found.
