Update: 05/17/2021 02:41 PM MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) Milwaukee police say a 52-year-old Milwaukee man was found dead inside a van near 79th and Silver Spring on Monday, May 17. Police say officers dispatched to the scene around 11:30 a.m. for a suspicious vehicle that had a foul odor emanating from it. The cause of death is under investigation. Man dies in Burlington house fire, medical examiner confirms

Victim of fatal Burlington house fire identified as 29-year-old man Updated: 3:38 p.m. on May 13, 2021 BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) The man killed in a house fire on Spring Drive Wednesday, May 12, has been identified as 29-year-old Tyler Werlein.  The Racine County Sheriff s Office says at this point in the investigation, foul play is not suspected.  Sheriff s deputies were dispatched to the home on Spring Drive around 1:16 p.m. Wednesday.  Upon arrival, deputies observed heavy smoke coming out of the front of the residence and visible flames on the north-west corner of the home.  The Sheriff s Office says deputies attempted to enter the back door, but it was hot to the touch. Officials evacuated the neighbors and maintained a perimeter.

Mayor Tom Barrett said the alleged owner of that gun wasn’t allowed to have it in the first place. “It just goes to the insanity that is occurring right now where you have a felon, again, my understanding is a felon, who was not permitted to have a gun, leaves the gun unattended and a little boy dies,” Barrett said.
