+ January 13, 2021 GOVERNOR Eugenio Jose Lacson said Negros Occidental mayors are amenable to the transfer of the Provincial Capitol building to Talisay City. There was no negative reaction and all the mayors favor the transfer, Lacson said.
In fact, the Association of Chief Executives (ACE)-Negros will pass a resolution supporting the move to transfer the Capitol, Lacson said after meeting with the mayors Wednesday, January 13.
Lacson also clarified that only the Capitol building will be transferred but Bacolod City will remain as the capital city of the province.
The Capitol building to be built in Talisay City will have the same cost amounting to more than P900, which was already bidded and awarded to Dynamic Builders as the contractor during the previous administration.

After deducting the underwriting discounts, the net proceeds of the public offering are expected to be approximately $94 million. The offering is expected to close on or about January 15, 2021, subject to customary closing conditions.
