Cambridge to return to Phase III, Step 1 reopening plan

The city of Cambridge announced that it is extending its rollback to a modified Phase II, Step 2 of the commonwealth’s Reopening Massachusetts Plan for one week and will be returning to Phase III, Step 1 effective at Noon Feb. 8.
Additionally, in-person appointments at city buildings will resume the week of Feb. 8 with appointments available on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Contactless holds pick-up at the Cambridge Public Library will also resume the week of Feb. 8. Holds pickup will resume on Feb. 8 at the Central Square and Valente branches; Feb. 9 at the main library; and Feb. 10 at the O’Neill Branch.

The city of Cambridge announced that it is extending its rollback to a modified Phase II, Step 2 of the commonwealth’s Reopening Massachusetts Plan until at least midnight on Feb. 1, or until further modified, in an effort to further reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Cambridge.
Additionally, to ensure the safety of the public and city staff, in-person appointments at city buildings, including contactless holds pick-up at the Cambridge Public Library, will continue to be suspended until at least Feb. 1 as well. While city buildings will remain closed to the public, city offices will be open and many city services can be accessed online or over the phone.

ARLINGTON, MA Arlington will roll back its reopening plan to a modified version of Phase 2, Step 2 as part of a regional effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus. In Arlington, case counts have grown at an alarming rate over the past two months, with 66 cases in October, 181 cases in November and 169 cases as of Dec. 13, town officials said.
Arlington joins Boston, Somerville, Newton, Brockton and Lynn in enacting new health and safety restrictions. The changes will take effect Wednesday, Dec. 16 and will remain in place for at least three weeks.
