LAHORE: The first phase of Allama Iqbal Industrial City has been completed in Punjab under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) at a cost of Rs7.5 billion, a statement said on Wednesday.
Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) Chairman Mian Kashif Ashfaq said Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed satisfaction over the pace of development of this project. The PM has also directed Federal Minister Mian Hammad Azhar, advisor to PM on Commerce Razak Dawood, and Punjab Industries Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal to ensure provision of basic infrastructure, including gas, electricity, roads, civic centre etc as a top priority before the project’s execution.

LAHORE: Punjab Planning & Development Board in collaboration with World Bank and International Finance Corporation organised a colloquium on the promulgation of Commercial Court Ordinance 2021 on Monday.
The historical initiative taken by the Punjab government was fully supported by the Lahore High Court. The Lahore High Court notified commercial courts in five districts of Punjab including Lahore.
The ordinance will ensure expeditious disposal of claims arising from commercial transactions by introducing timeframe for decision of suits, e-filing of pleadings and limited number of adjournments.

LAHORE: A federal minister has claimed that the chief minister of Punjab is in hot waters, saying he was issued a warning to bolster performance and that even Prime Minister Imran Khan s peon would say Sardar Usman Buzdar is the wrong choice.
