At least four people died Monday night into the early hours of Tuesday in shootings, Philadelphia police said.
One of the deaths occurred in Old City outside a Stephen Starr restaurant called Buddakan.
The city is dealing with an increase in gun violence and murder that other large cities have also experienced during the coronavirus pandemic.

That killing and another in Feltonville Monday pushed the number of murders in Philadelphia to at least 125 in just over three months. That s 29% more than at this point last year, city statistics show.
Also Monday, the number of shootings in the city that didn t end in death continued to grow. Among them: a man was shot at a Chinese restaurant on Ridge Avenue and a woman was shot in the chest at B Street and Indiana Avenue in Kensington.
The Old City slaying happened on Chestnut Street, just a few feet away from popular, high-end restaurants. As the victim walked on the sidewalk with his girlfriend at about 9:30 p.m., a minivan pulled up.
Four men jumped out of the van with semiautomatic weapons, walked up to the man and started shooting. Police have counted at least 27 shell casings, but said there may be more. There was no argument or robbery beforehand.

Seven people were shot overnight in Chicago after a group got into a fight late Monday night.
Chicago police said six men and one woman were shot in the city s Englewood neighborhood, near 68th and Justine streets, around 11 p.m. after a fight broke out on the sidewalk and shots were fired.
The police department told
Newsweek that the woman was seriously wounded, while the six men were described as being in good or fair condition. The 39-year-old female is at the University of Chicago Hospital after suffering gunshot wounds to the left arm and abdomen.

The Chicago Police s Monthly Crime Newsletter on city shootings and crime statistics reported the increases in both the number of shootings and the number of shooting victims in March compared to the same month in the previous three years.
