Government, Opposition reach consensus to discuss agri laws; three AAP members marshalled out of Rajya Sabha
The three MPs Sanjay Singh, Sushil Kumar Gupta and N D Gupta have been asked to remain absent from the House for the remaining part of the day.

NEW DELHI: The government and opposition parties in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday reached on consensus to allocate more time to discuss the motion of thanks and parties can raise their issues on farmers protest during the discussion.

New Delhi [India], February 2 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP GVL Narasimha Rao has given a Zero Hour Notice in Rajya Sabha and demanded action against culprits responsible for attacks on Hindu temples in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.
The idol of Lord Ram was allegedly desecrated at Ramateertham in Vizianagaram district here on December 29 last year after which a group of BJP workers staged a protest at the temple premises.
In a similar incident, the chariot of the famous Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Antarvedi of East Godavari district was allegedly gutted in a fire mishap on September 6, 2020.
When the House re-assembled at 12:30 pm, protesting members again trooped in the Well raising slogans, forcing Deputy Chairman Harivansh to adjourn proceedings for the day.

New Delhi, Feb 02: Congress and other opposition parties on Tuesday forced adjournment of Rajya Sabha proceedings for the third time in the pre-noon session as they insisted on taking up a discussion on the issue of farmers protest over the three new farm bills.
The House was first adjourned for about 40 minutes till 10:30. As soon as the House met again, similar scenes were witnessed leading to another adjournment till 11:30 am.
Congress, Left, TMC, DMK and RJD members first walked out from Rajya Sabha after their demand for suspension of business of the day for taking up the discussion was rejected by the Chair.

When the Upper House re-assembled at 11.30 am, the uproar continued as several protesting members trooped in Well prompting Deputy Chairman Harivansh to adjourn the proceedings till 12:30 pm.
The Deputy Chairman appealed to the opposition members to return their seats and follow Covid-19 protocols. However, they did not heed to his requests.
