Mitch TeichWinter s White Noise
It’s snowing pretty heavily outside the First Person International Command Center as I write this. Maybe it’s snowing pretty heavily where you’re reading it. This is the perfect snowstorm scenario – a weekend, in the midst of a pandemic, before the imminent arrival of our dog. In other words, we have nowhere to be, and no urgent need to shovel.
If there’s anything that harshes the buzz of a good snowstorm, it’s being awakened at 6:45 a.m. by the sound of six of your neighbors, each of whom has already fired up the snowblower. For one thing, they’re never in the same key, and so the result is a gas-powered cacophony that invades your snowy reverie and makes you feel both annoyed and guilty for your laziness.
