It Was Needless To Storm Citi FM/TV Premises - Kwamena Duncan Blasts National Security Operatives

  Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has condemned the invasion of Police officers at Accra-based media house, Citi FM/Citi TV, on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. The Police Officers arrested Caleb Kudah, a broadcast Journalist with Citi FM and Citi TV. According to the Police, he was arrested for filming at the premises of the National Security Ministry, a restricted security zone. About seven heavily armed officers stormed the premises of Citi FM/TV to arrest another broadcast Journalist named Zoe Abu-Baidoo who works with the media house. They claimed Zoe Abu-Baidoo had received some files from Caleb Kudah. The two were accompanied by the Citi FM/TV management to the Ministry of National Security for interrogation but Caleb was detained for several hours while Zoe was released.

  Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has rebuked the two teenagers involved in a gruesome murder of a 11-year-old boy in the Central Region. The two teenagers Felix Nyarko, 16, and Nicholas Kini, 17, reportedly murdered a 11-year-old boy at Lamptey Mills in Kasoa on Saturday. The deceased, Ishmael Mensah, was a Class Four pupil of the Maranatha School and it s believed the teenagers committed such hideous crime for ritual money purposes. The murder has provoked discussions on the human quest for quick riches and living a luxurious life. Reacting to the issue on  Peace FM s morning show Kokrokoo , Kwamena Duncan was alarmed that young boys could engage in murder but, however, wasn t surprised about the incident.

  Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has commiserated with the family of the 10-year-old boy who was murdered at Kasoa in the Central Region. Two teenagers named Felix Nyarko, 16, and Nicholas Kini, 17, allegedly murdered Ishmael Mensah, a Class Four pupil of the Maranatha School. According to sources, the teenagers lured Ishmael Mensah to an uncompleted building and struck him with a rod and brick, killing and burying him to later exhume the mortal remains for ritual money purposes. Following the gruesome murder, the teenagers were reported to the Police who arrested and prosecuted them. They were arraigned before the Ofankor District Court on Tuesday and remanded into police custody.

  Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan has vehemently jabbed the Council of Elders of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) over recent comments made by the party s General Secretary regarding Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta. The NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia in an interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia morning show, revealed reasons why the Minority Caucus on the Appointments Committee approved Ken Ofori-Atta. He disclosed that there was a consensus at the NDC hierarchy that the Minority Caucus approves Ken Ofori-Atta as Finance Minister, because in their estimation, he performed abysmally in President Akufo-Addo s first term; hence maintaining him in office will inure to the benefit of the opposition party in the 2024 general elections.
